Hope ya'll enjoyed a great Mother's Day weekend! Just so you know, I've got très très beaucoup I so want to share with you! Please hold tight...I'm working on it as we speak! Honestly, I could pour frozen molasses faster than my computer's loading at the moment...modern technology! grrrr. Why do we torture ourselves this way??? Really!! Because we want to share...and encourage....and inspire...and be encouraged and inspired....that's the important part! Right? Right!
So here's some of what we're up to on the Rom Mom Maine Homestead:
Yes! We have our chicks!! They're beyond adorable...so we're tackling our first go at brooding chicks...it's going great so far! My biggest challenge is giving the wee peeps a break from all the lovin' being showered on them continuously! ; )
We've found hundreds of fiddleheads in our woods! We've been gathering and learning how to prepare these very interesting edibles!! More info on those to come!
The garden is being prepared! Boy, do I have some awesome soil this Spring! Can't wait to get you into the garden with me!
In the meantime, ALL our lawn mowers are currently not functioning...and you better believe that grass is growing now! The Babycakes Pony Mower is happily obliging to help out...as well as our Little Andrew pushing the reel mower! Who needs an engine when we've got real horse and 'boy' power??
And oh yeah! We've got a birthday and tea party looming on the horizon, too! I've got so many fun ideas floating around for this!! So I'll be back with LOTS more very soon!! : D
